Ethiopian Premier League side Defence Force SC have parted ways with their Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Okutu.
The Accra born Okutu had signed for Defence Force this past summer on a one year deal.
Recently sustaining a knee injury, Okutu opted not to have surgery against the advice of the club. It is this disagreement that is believed to have been the main factor in the club’s decision to part ways with the player.
Okutu scored 2 goals in 9 appearances for the Defence Force SC in the Ethiopian Premier League this season.
Before joining Defence Force, Okutu had played most of his career in Zambia for clubs including: Kabwe Warriors, Zanaco FC, & Buildcon FC.
